The project “DWIMU of People’s Lives” led by the BRLF in collaboration with the BTR government aims to positively impact the lives of 40,000 households in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). DWIMU name for the project stands with acronym - Diversification With Integrated Management for Upliftment. The word “Dwimu” is a Bodo word for ‘spring’ or ‘origin of water’. This project operates across the districts of Udalguri, Tamulpur, and Baksa, encompassing seven blocks: Udalguri, Majbat, Nagrijuli, Goreswar, Tamulpur, Dhamdhama, and Baksa. Partnering with five Civil Society Organizations (GVM, Kabil, NERSWN, SeSTA, and the ant), the initiative seeks to uplift the socio-economic conditions of the tribes, adivasis, and other vulnerable groups in the region over a span of five years. The project also aims to create individual assets for the households through MGNREGA and other flagship programs to promote sustainable development.
